About the Role
As a manual QA tester, your responsibilities and duties will include the manual testing of new software in both the pre-and post-release stage of the development lifecycle. In addition, you will search for problems and bugs in the system that users may encounter and help developers find solutions to the issues. You may work as a black box tester, which means you do not know the code or workings of the system and test, experiencing the system as a user. You may also work as a clear or white box tester, where you have access and knowledge about the code and workings of the system and can examine each test case with both the user's and developer's perspectives in mind.
Responsibilities:
- Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
- Build, execute, and maintain manual tests for new features of our platform
- Create Test Scenarios/Cases and Bug Reports
- Identify, record, document thoroughly, and track bugs
- Perform smoke and regression testing, create and execute test cases, checklists
- Perform tests and report about results, issue escalations
- Attend Scrum meetings, demo meetings, and kickoff presentations
- Liaise with internal teams (e.g., developers and product managers) to identify system requirements
- Review automation state and use it as a tool with a daily routine
- Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience as a Manual QA Engineer (web/mobile)
- Experience in designing Test Scenarios/Cases and Bug Reporting
- Advanced practice and theoretical knowledge in testing methodology and development process
- Strong analytical skills
- Excellent verbal/written communications and strong attention to detail
- Multitasking across different projects and adapting to the changes quickly
- Upper-intermediate or higher level of English
- CI/CD basic knowledge
- Test automation experience (nice to have)
