Web3 Marketing Communications Manager

Compensation: $45k - $67k estimated

The Role:

We’re looking for a Marketing Communications Manager who is passionate about telling stories and bringing them to life through a holistic approach that balances the art & science of compelling marketing campaigns. You will bring your past experiences working with forward-thinking brands to Autograph as a communications marketing leader within the organization. You will help manage a growing department (which manages marketing for all verticals). You will lead cross-functional marketing communications projects for specific NFT launches from creative campaign conception through to launch, inclusive of cross-functional collaboration, work with partner agencies, and execution of earned and paid media tactics to grow the Autograph and drive interest in the digital offering. You will work closely with a third-party PR agency to drive relevance and accomplish business goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with internal and external strategic and creative partners to create groundbreaking marketing concepts, pushing beyond the boundaries of what is expected for a brand in this space and beyond
  • Understand and manage the communications and media specific components of the campaign / product launch process from start to finish for all verticals
  • Create strategic communications plans for key campaigns, from start to finish
  • Focus on an earned media approach to drive heat and buzz around strategic product launches
  • Work seamlessly with external PR agency to uplevel all communications plans for marketing campaigns across all verticals (sports/teams/athletes, media/music/film, brand)
  • Create top-tier influencer marketing strategies for specific campaigns across all verticals
  • Manage the execution of select influencer marketing campaigns, working with marketing managers and coordinators to ensure excellent follow through and recapping
  • Consider content marketing approach, paid media approach and strategic brand partnerships within the greater communications strategy for each marketing campaign/product launch
  • Support the marketing department to grow our team including mentoring younger teammates
  • Manage complicated internal and external timelines and 3rd party partnerships
  • Present ideas in a clear and focused way that builds consensus within the team
  • Work collaboratively within a cross-functional team environment with other members of creative, tech, partnerships and product teams
  • Translate complex strategic approaches into easily accessible creative concepts with an emphasis on communications, PR, earned media and heat
  • Set the bar for creative excellence
  • Ensure strategy and content reflect consistently throughout the project’s communications/media plans and positively reflect the brand image and company ideals
  • Participate in and provide regular opportunities for professional development and growth to team
  • Report progress of projects at major stages of their conception, creation, and execution
  • Work across several projects simultaneously, maintaining standards and supporting team members
  • Ideate with the team, considering pitch content, narrative and quality, thinking over several concepts to result in unexpected and energizing creative output
  • Anticipate problems that may impede a project from completing on time and implement solutions
  • Continuously iterate and improve our content and output
  • Deliver results by working with both internal and external resources

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A storyteller with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong understanding of the communications/PR landscape and comfortability providing strategic recommendations for media partnerships
  • Provide examples of marketing campaigns with the goal of driving heat/earned media
  • Familiarity with a variety of software programs, such as PowerPoint, Google Slides, Photoshop, InDesign, and others
  • Knowledge of how to develop brand identities through multi-channel marketing
  • Strong comfort level interacting with high-profile clients and industry professionals
  • Evidence of participation in ongoing professional development opportunities in the areas of marketing campaign strategy and execution.
  • Recent hands-on experience
  • Professional business skills, such as negotiation, project management, and leadership
  • Talent in presenting information concisely and accurately, with keen attention to detail
  • Passion for digital storytelling
  • Strong understanding of the social media landscape and platform trends
  • Experience upholding and maintaining brand voice across multiple audiences

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Sports, entertainment or tech industry experience
  • Earned media experience
  • Knowledge of NFT space
