As a Security Software Engineer at Privy, you will take on large areas of ownership in Privy’s application and infrastructure security. You’ll work with the entire team to protect our infrastructure product and continue to perfect our security practices at large. Security is the core pillar of our organization and your work will be mission-critical to protect apps that use Privy. You will work to improve threat models, evaluate architectural tradeoffs and build seamless user experiences that are secure by default. Above all, we are building a company together to ship products that users love.
As a Security Software Engineer at Privy, you will…
Design end-to-end systems that are resilient to attacks from a wide range of threats
Iterate on threat models and product architectures against those threat models
Build core Privy features, infrastructure, and tooling that advance our security posture and safeguard data and assets for millions of users
Proactively assess infrastructure, architecture, privacy, application, and product security and prioritize recommendations and solutions with the team
You may be a fit for this role if you have...
Strong software engineering skills
Deep expertise building secure systems on the web
A strong understanding of web, browser and infrastructure security
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Years of experience working within a team on InfoSec and AppSec practices
A balanced perspective on design and architectural tradeoffs across security and product experience
Experience with IAM, secrets management, secure access to production, secure CI/CD
Bonus points if you have...
Experience with React/Typescript
An interest in applied cryptography and cryptosystem design
Understanding of blockchain technologies, protocols, exploits, and frameworks
Previously helped shape a security program, incident response policy, bug bounty program
