Although this position will be remote, with occasional travel to North America, Europe and Asia, it will require working hours that overlap with Pacific Standard Time (PST). Strong written and spoken language proficiency in English is required, although knowledge of other languages (e.g. Mandarin), would be an advantage in order to liaise with stakeholders across the world.
Impact
Software Quality Assurance Engineers work with a talented team of systems, research, and full stack engineers and architects as Findora builds out its core infrastructure and specific applications. The core engineering team's primary focus is to build out the Findora platform, a highly performant distributed system incorporating significant innovations in cryptography, storage/authenticated data structures, and consensus/state machine replication. Additionally, as the platform is implemented, a growing number of ecosystem applications will be developed atop the Findora infrastructure, requiring a reliable base upon which to build. Software Quality Assurance Engineers must collaborate effectively with the core engineering team to make Findora applications as robust and straightforward as possible. We are looking for meticulous and articulate engineers with a passion for high quality financial systems.
Responsibilities
- Interactive software testing of decentralized blockchain protocol and related services
- Development of an automated testing framework for integration tests preferably using Jest,Mocha and related JS libraries.
- Maintaining the tests required for CI/CD pipeline .Create and maintain documentation for bugs , issues and reports.
- Proficient in one more coding languages , preferably Javascript
- B.S. degree in Computer Science or similar field; or equivalent practical experience
- 3+ years of Software Quality Assurance work
- Experience working in blockchain project(s), and having a basic understanding of the mechanics of a blockchain protocol
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Proficient in written English
- Experience working on an EVM/Cosmos (Tendermint) based chain
- Experience working with open source projects
- Experience in writing and debugging solidity code
- Having strong opinions about crypto and decentralization
- Experience building client side tooling for blockchains such as wallets, explorers, indexer, etc.
- Opportunities to create test systems and automation
