NEAR Jobs in Zug, Switzerland

We are seeking a talented and highly motivated Executive Assistant to help our CEO and leadership team as NEAR Foundation scales into hypergrowth. You'll provide strategic and operational support to NEAR Foundation globally but will need to be based in Europe, with a strong preference for Zug, Switzerland.

You'll be a strategic partner who holds everything together - from calendaring and travel to creating/reporting processes and team support. You will be a wearer of many hats who strives to work in an ambiguous but rewarding environment. We are looking for an EA who has a natural passion for learning and optimization, enjoys taking on new tasks and projects, and excels at being mindful of strong communication and details in an energetic, fast-paced, and developer-centric environment.

You should be familiar with working in the technology industry and its unique challenges, especially those in a startup experiencing hypergrowth. Due to the nature of our highly distributed team, you will need to be comfortable operating across many time zones, geographies, and languages.

You’ll:

• Provide analytical, strategic, and operational support to NEAR Foundation’s CEO
• Draft presentation materials for various meetings, engagements, and conferences
• Proactively prioritize our CEO and leadership team’s time based on major initiatives and other priority items
• Establish high-level contacts of a sensitive nature inside and outside NEAR and maintain those relationships
• Create and manage new process documentation for NEAR Foundation
• Manage a heavy calendar (via GSuite) and meeting responsibilities, to include worldwide travel planning and scheduling, as well as expense reconciliation, in a foundation experiencing rapid growth
• Organize and coordinate events for the NEAR Foundation team (such as offsite, all hands, leadership team meeting, etc.)

You’re:

• Familiar with addressing problems where analysis of data requires a review of a variety of factors
• Experienced with building out and developed procedures and practices to determine appropriate action with impeccable judgment
• Strong with working cross-functionally and building relationships to accomplish objectives and key results
• Strong at tackling complex projects across multiple departments that requires finesse, flexibility, and patience
• Able to handle sensitive matters and exercise sound judgment, discretion, and confidentiality
• Savvy at interfacing with leaders and individuals at all levels, particularly in written and verbal communication -- ability to communicate clearly and concisely across all levels, with maximum attention to detail
• Able to support both European (EMEA) and U.S. time zones
• Experienced with tools such as GSuite, Slack, Expensify and other common apps.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, global technology startup that can be dynamic at times.

TheNEAR Foundationis a nonprofit, non-beneficiary foundation based in Switzerland which supports community-driven innovation and the Open Web with a specific focus on the NEAR platform. The Foundation distributes grant funding into the NEAR ecosystem, coordinates governance among participants, educates people about the protocol and ensures that relationships among the community members are as strong and sustainable as the apps they build. It seeks to combine the inclusive care of a community-driven NGO with the at-scale effectiveness of a Silicon Valley startup.
