Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager of Communications to execute our communications strategy for Nova Labs, Helium Mobile & 1663. This role is vital in shaping and executing our narrative, enhancing our brand visibility, and engaging our stakeholders. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a strong focus on execution, skilled in creating compelling communications content and adept at scaling communications efforts to keep pace with the company's growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive communications strategy, focusing on execution and alignment with the company's objectives.
- Lead media monitoring and reporting efforts to stay ahead of industry trends and leverage insights for strategic communication planning.
- Create, manage, and oversee the production of engaging and impactful communications / narrative based content across various platforms.
- Collaborate with Product, Marketing, HR, and Legal teams to ensure a cohesive and consistent message across all communication channels.
- Develop and scale communication initiatives to match the rapid growth of the company, ensuring clear and effective messaging.
- Measure and analyze the effectiveness of communication strategies and adjust as needed to optimize impact.
- Work closely with a small team of communications professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in a communications role, with at least 3 years in a leadership position.
- Demonstrated success in executing communication strategies and creating compelling content.
- Strong experience in media monitoring and using insights to inform communication strategies.
- Proven ability to scale communication efforts in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing a team.
- Team player that supports others.
- Sense of humor and appreciation for the bigger picture.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with senior executives.
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- An interest in telecommunications and blockchain technology.
- Some travel is required throughout the year.
Compensation:
- Total compensation structure at Nova Labs is base salary + equity.
- Nova Labs is a remote-first company and takes a market-based approach to base salary pay.
- Pay may vary depending on your location. U.S. locations are categorized into tiers based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. For candidates outside of metro market areas, we use the state average.
- The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions.
- Nova Labs targets the 50th percentile of the pay scale for new hires.
- The salary pay scale for the target experience and target skill set US locations:
- Tier 1 (San Francisco / New York City): $171,000 - $231,000
- Tier 2 (Boston, Seattle, DC, San Diego, Los Angeles, CA State Avg): $154,000 - 208,000
- Tier 3 (Austin, Dallas, Denver, Chicago, Detroit, Houston, Phoenix, Portland, Philadelphia, Sacramento): $145,000 - $196,000
- Tier 4: Other, Miami, Columbus, Raleigh-Durham, SLC, Orlando, Eugene, NH, San Antonio): $137,000 = $185,000
