QuickNode, a hyper growth startup, is seeking a professional to manage our procure to pay process from end-to-end. The Manager of Procurement and Accounts Payable will report directly to the VP of Finance and will help build the procure to pay function from the ground up, including hiring a team, implementing accounting policies and procedures that comply with US GAAP, and establishing internal controls. 

What You'll Do

• Oversee the entire procure to pay process 
• Build and manage the procurement and accounts payable functions within the finance organization
• Develop sound, cost-effective strategies and processes for the procurement of goods and services 
• Manage relationships with vendors and suppliers, including onboarding and obtaining W-9s 
• Negotiate contracts with suppliers to obtain the best prices and identify cost reduction opportunities 
• Approve and process purchase requests and purchase orders to acquire goods and services
• Oversee and approve employee related business expenses (such as travel) and reimbursements
• Process invoices and payment (such as ACH, wires, and checks) and ensure that the company’s financial obligations are settled on time 
• Maintain fixed asset schedules and perform monthly calculations for depreciation and amortization 
• Keep track of the company’s expenditures, maintain a database, and provide reports as and when requested 
• Record and/or approve journal entries in Oracle NetSuite (ERP)
• Assist with the preparation of month-end close 
• Oversee tax related processes such as processing of 1099s
• In partnership with the VP of Finance, develop and implement accounting policies and procedures and establish internal controls in accordance with Sarbanes Oxley

What You'll Bring

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or related field 
• 5+ years of procurement and accounts payable and/or general accounting experience 
• 3+ years of experience in a supervisory role 
• Working knowledge of basic accounting principles and internal controls 
• Able to perform all day-to-day procure to pay operations such as purchase orders, payments, month-close, journal entries, reconciliations, etc. (until a full team is assembled) 
• Strong understanding of procurement and negotiation techniques
• Experience with payment process and treasury management platforms (such JPMorgan Access) 
• Experience with ERP systems (Oracle NetSuite preferred) 
• Experience with 1099 filings 
• Strong knowledge of all MS Office products 
• Self-starter who can thrive in a fast-paced remote environment and proactively drive business results
• Ability to interact professionally with all levels of the organization and cross-functionally
