Job Description
TIDAL is looking for a Head of Marketing to lead a team in developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies that build brand awareness and drive growth. This is an opportunity to evolve TIDAL’s brand and voice from a music streaming service into a platform that empowers artists and fans with innovative tools and services.
Key Responsibilities:
Shape and Evolve Consumer-Facing Brand: As the Head of Marketing, you will play a key role in reshaping our consumer-facing brand to revolve around fandom. Your leadership will be instrumental in cultivating a platform that resonates with fan communities.
Build Out Artist-Facing Brand: In close collaboration with our product strategy, you will drive the expansion and enhancement of our artist-facing brand. Empowering artists with innovative tools and features, and offering ways for artists to cultivate their presence on TIDAL, you will reinforce the platform’s position as a leading destination for artist development and interaction.
You will:

  • Develop and implement global marketing strategies that build the brand, drive audience growth and engagement
  • Build and lead the marketing strategy for our overall brand positioning and voice, owned social channels, and artist related projects
  • Lead TIDAL’s creative brand studio that is responsible for creating a consistent and appealing visual identity
  • Drive creativity and innovation in leveraging social channels to amplify brand presence, engage with audiences, and foster meaningful connections with customers and fans
  • Monitor and report on the performance of marketing initiatives, providing actionable insights to drive continuous improvement.
  • Identify opportunities with artists that TIDAL is well positioned to support, working with artist relations to craft the perfect marketing campaign to support artist programs and partnerships

You have:
  • 15+ years of brand marketing, content marketing, or entertainment marketing experience as well as 5+ years of management experience
  • Ability to tell compelling stories and exert influence on content, product, and brand to a variety of audiences: internally, with artists, and with industry
  • Deeply understands the marketing funnel and is capable of creating and coordinating the execution of campaigns that have different strategies for impacting different parts of the funnel
  • Understands how to target different segments of customers with different types of brand, content or artist deliverables, both through digital channels and earned media
  • Proven expertise in harnessing existing marketing channels to drive business growth, while also developing innovative channels that have propelled businesses to unprecedented heights
  • Demonstrated expertise in crafting marketing strategies in social channels
  • Established strength in leading marketing teams, including growing and developing the careers of team members
  • A background in the music industry is a plus, as TIDAL continues to create artist and content marketing campaigns that are innovative and in the culture

Additional Information
Block takes a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on your location. U.S. locations are categorized into one of four zones based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.
Zone A: USD $245,100 - USD $299,500
Zone B: USD $245,100 - USD $299,500
Zone C: USD $245,100 - USD $299,500
Zone D: USD $245,100 - USD $299,500
