THE ROLE

Our Product team is growing and we are looking for a Business Analyst who is adept at developing a deep understanding of business processes and information and translating them into system functionality and user requirements. You will be involved in facilitating the development of technical solutions that align with business strategies, improving business processes, and enhancing the overall user experience for both external and internal stakeholders.

This position will be based out of our office in Etobicoke, ON, and will have a hybrid work schedule.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

Business Understanding and Tech-Driven Process Enhancement::

• Develop a comprehensive understanding of Localcoin’s business needs, goals and practices.
• Translate conceptual business strategies into detailed user requirements that define project scope and specifications.
• Automating functions, optimizing processes through technology, ensuring solutions are not only effective and efficient but also aligned with industry best practices.

Stakeholder Engagement and Solution Design:

• Work closely with business subject matter experts, internal technical teams, and consultants to align on technical solution designs.
• Lead discussions with stakeholders to prioritize objectives and facilitate consensus
• Collaborate with business stakeholders in change management, including communication strategies and risk mitigation, to prepare for the adoption of system changes.
• Promote innovation and best practice adoption, balancing operational integrity and governance requirements

Documentation and Systems Testing:

• Drive the creation of comprehensive documentation for new technology solutions, ensuring a comprehensive and dynamic record of the development process.
• Lead stakeholders in system testing, identifying gaps, and making recommendations for resolutions.

Project Management and Reporting:

• Identify project and technology risks, assessing their potential impact on business operations.
• Assist in preparing project reports, financial analyses, and other documentation to monitor project performance.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Finance, or a related field.
• Proven experience in business analysis and/or Product development, with a focus on requirements gathering and specification document creation.
• Strong skills in managing and owning technical and non-technical documentation.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Experience in or strong understanding of the cryptocurrency sector is a plus.
• Comfortable working in an Agile / SCRUM environment (JIRA, Confluence, etc.)
