Grayscale Investments is seeking an experienced transactional attorney to serve as its commercial attorney to support Grayscale’s continued growth. The commercial attorney will review, draft and negotiate tailored commercial agreements with strategic partners and build out Grayscale’s contract management system.

The commercial attorney should have a minimum of 3 years’ experience, including at least 1 year in a corporate legal department covering commercial transactions with service providers.

Responsibilities:

  • Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, including strategic partnerships, SaaS licensing, service agreements, and other commercial arrangements
  • Provide practical advice on legal issues and risk related to partnerships
  • Lead contract management efforts, including ownership of contract management platform
  • Own and draft key template documents
  • Work with and manage outside counsel as necessary
  • Interact with finance, accounting, marketing, compliance and operations teams to ensure suitability of partnerships.

Prior Experience/Requirements:

  • JD from a top-tier law school
  • 3-6+ years’ experience, including at least 1 year in an in-house legal department covering commercial transactions and operating contract management tools.
  • Interest in digital currency and blockchain technology
  • Advanced MS Office skills including MS Word and Excel
