  • You are dynamic
  • You have a strong IQ. That means:
    • You have a learning mentality and get up to speed quickly on many things
    • You are a strong problem-solver comfortable working with ambiguity and peeling the layers
    • You understand business and are analytical, research-based.
    • You are open-minded and coachable
    • You can dive deep โ€œin the weedsโ€ on the business side
    • You fill pieces of the story together to help CEO come to decisions with cultural/management issues
  • You also have strong EQ & project management skills
    • You can build relationships really well across the organization and externally
    • You connect the dots between teams and team members with ease
    • You ensure that teams have the info that they need, ensure that action items that come out of any events get executed upon
    • You can find the small fire before they become a big fires. Sometimes that means nudging direct reports/acting on behalf of your boss
    • You are comfortable with being the center without having a lot of ego in it. While youโ€™re like the spoke of the wheel, itโ€™s not about you. Youโ€™re the problem-solver and the person that can create success for others.
    • You are excited to make others successful in the sense that youโ€™re giving them info for a meeting to give the CEO what he needs
    • You do a lot of due diligence and look out for the best interests of teams
  • You have 6-12 years of experience and are somewhere in the middle of your career

You will ๐Ÿ“ฒ

This role is very cross-functional and has elements of both an EA & COO

  • Key Day to Day Responsibilities:
    • Ensure the CEO is prioritising the right things
    • Help effectively communicate CEOโ€™s strategic vision and intent
    • Help complete priority items for the CEO to the desired level of quality
    • Keep the CEO accountable for commitments, while helping keep reports accountable for results
    • Amplify and improve the CEOโ€™s communication. You would be in charge of tasks like running town halls, preparing speeches and prepping the CEO for leadership meetings
    • Help the CEO level up the executive team. A great CoS enhances and raises the game for the entire leadership of the company.
    • Do whatever needs to be done for all of the above
  • A successful CoS will enable the CEO to do the following:
    • Make better and faster decisions
    • Gets a lot more of the insight s/he needs
    • Gets a greater ability to drive high performance by developing deeper relationships with my team
    • Able to better able to hold people accountable to their commitments
    • More time to be more productive
