The Role
The Operations team at Fortress isn’t your traditional team. We’re a new, dynamic team looking to grow our footprint in the Web3 payment space, and are looking for someone to grow with us and own our processes.
As the Trade Settlements and Reconciliations, Operations Associate, you’ll be performing daily cash and monthly asset reconciliations of complex accounts as well as investigating and clearing all differences within prescribed timelines. Your day-to-day routine will be to investigate, process activities, and resolve complex trades and settlements.
We are looking for a candidate to be onsite with us in our Austin, Texas office.
What you’ll be doing (ie. job duties)
- You will process daily adjustments accurately and in a timely manner to ensure customer satisfaction.
- You will investigate and solve more complex trades that have not settled on time and log all transactions that have failed within prescribed timelines for audit purposes.
- You will ensure productivity standards are achieved and Service Level Agreements are met or exceeded.
- You will work with liquidity providers and market makers to resolve trade settlement problems in a timely manner.
- You will maintain asset information accurately within the trading system and various other systems.
- You will follow all procedures and controls within the Operations team.
What we look for in you (ie. job requirements)
- 2-5+ years of trades reconciliations, preferably in a fintech environment
- Ability to switch priorities quickly in a fast-paced environment.
- Transparent and direct communication >
- Comfortability with learning and using new software tools.
- Team focused mindset, eager to collaborate with others to solve problems.
- Excellent communication skills both inside the organization, as well as externally with clients.
Nice to haves
- Blockchain or Crypto Experience is an asset
- Bachelor degree in Commerce, Business, Finance, or other related areas is an asset
- An accounting background is an asset and a CPA a huge asset
