THE ROLE

In this role, you will be responsible for crafting compelling and impactful stories about CoinMarketCap’s brand, products and services and bringing them to life across a broad range of marketing channels.  

The ideal candidate is a proven strategic thinker and creative do-er. Strategic in their ability to distill complex product features into simple, user-centric value propositions. Creative in their ability to transform those value propositions into fun, impactful and effective stories across social media, emails, landing pages and via partnerships with appropriate brands/influencers/events etc.

We run lean teams at CoinMarketCap, so we are looking for candidates who are happy to get in the weeds, to write the social posts, to fine-tune the web-copy, to make social videos, to seek out and negotiate with potential partners to amplify our stories.  Your innovative approach will be put to the test as you stretch tight budgets to maximize marketing effectiveness…but you’ll have a lot of fun doing it with a passionate, supportive and friendly team!

Overall Responsibilities:

• Work internally with Marketing, Content, Production and Product teams to develop GTM strategies, content strategies, brainstorm ideas, and contribute creative input
• Tell our stories brilliantly, bringing CMC to life across all marketing channels
• Make/help develop creative content for social media platforms: Twitter, TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, etc.
• Stay on top of industry best practices and techniques to continuously improve our creative storytelling
• Help manage content calendar across multiple channels for a portfolio of products
• Other marketing related tasks, as required

• 5-7 years as a marketer (agency or client side) or content creator, ideally with Web3 experience
• Story-telling: An ability to identify, explore and effectively communicate a compelling storyline to the target audience in a way that resonates with them and drives engagement, action, and brand loyalty
• Creativity: Generate fresh ideas and concepts that align with the brand’s messaging and goals; demonstrable talent in creating/curating content and marketing assets
• Crypto Native: Keen sense and understanding of the crypto market. Direct experience in the blockchain/crypto space is a huge advantage.
• Language skills:  Fluent English language is a MUST - you are an excellent verbal/written communicator and can be clear/concise or creative/fun as required
• Social Fluency:  Twitter native with a proven instinct for getting attention; extra points for meme connoisseurs and creators.
• Attention to detail: A keen eye for detail, ensuring that all work streams are of a high quality and delivered effectively
• Time management: crypto moves fast so you should be able to manage your time effectively, prioritizing tasks and delivering high-quality work on schedule
• Positive attitude: Be open to constructive feedback, and willing to iterate and improve work based on feedback
• Strong sense of responsibility and resistance to stress. Self-motivated and results-oriented.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team:  experience of remote teams preferred
