About Us

The Data Analytics Team at Flipside Crypto builds cutting-edge analytics products for the blockchain industry. We're seeking an Analytics Engineer to help expand our analytics capabilities and serve as a bridge between our technical teams and customers.

Position Overview

This is a fully remote position open to international candidates. As an Analytics Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in designing and implementing data solutions while serving as a subject matter expert for blockchain analytics.

Core Responsibilities

  • Design and implement data models using dbt and SQL for blockchain data analysis
  • Create comprehensive analytics product specifications and metric definitions
  • Develop and maintain data pipelines for both on-chain and off-chain data sources
  • Collaborate with Data Product team on initiatives
  • Mentor team members on blockchain data analysis best practices
  • Collaborate with Product and Data Science teams to define analytical requirements
  • Contribute to the development of standardized blockchain data frameworks

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience working with complex data sets
  • Demonstrated expertise in blockchain data structures and analysis
  • Advanced SQL skills, particularly with modern data warehouses (Snowflake, Athena, etc.)
  • Proficiency in dbt and data modeling (star schema, dimensional modeling)
  • Strong background in ETL pipeline development
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and analytical mindset

Technical Skills

  • Data Warehousing: Snowflake, Athena, Hive, PostgreSQL, SQL Server
  • Data Modeling: dbt, dimensional modeling, star schema
  • Domain Knowledge: Blockchain protocols, smart contracts, DeFi metrics
  • Programming: SQL (required), Python (bonus)

Soft Skills

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication
