In 2018, Bitvavo launched the first version of its digital assets trading platform, to bridge the gap between traditional currencies and digital assets. By offering transparent fees, a wide range of assets and an easy to use platform, Bitvavo is making the currency of the future accessible for everyone.
In two years' time, Bitvavo has established itself as the market leader in the Netherlands and one of the largest in Europe, with over one million users exchanging tens of billions of digital assets a year.
Our team, located in Amsterdam, is looking for self-driven, talented people who can help make digital assets available for everyone.
About the Opportunity
In the next couple of years, we will be considerably expanding our operations all around Europe and you will have the opportunity to be part of it. You'll be part of the team that will make sure all crypto treasury operations run smoothly. Taking full ownership of the crypto wallet and staking operations.
As a Payment & Wallet Operations specialist, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the smooth running of daily crypto operations on the Bitvavo platform. You will work closely with the Operations, Treasury, Operational Engineering, Support, and Finance teams to provide customers with a high-quality experience.
What You’ll Be Doing
Hot Wallet Management: You'll ensure continuous liquidity on the hot wallets, optimizing the allocation of funds across custody, staking, and hot wallets. This also involves following up on pending crypto transfers.
Staking Operations: You'll take responsibility for staking the right amount of crypto assets in a risk-controlled manner, utilizing different custody and validator options. You will also identify and implement new staking opportunities, handle the administration of staking rewards and collaborate with Treasury on creating and updating our Staking-strategies.
Listing and Delisting Operations: You'll work closely with our listing committee, product, operational engineering team, and support teams to ensure a smooth end-to-end listing and delisting process. This includes setting up of custody wallets, withdrawal support, asset conversions, and user balance conversion.
Reporting and Reconciliation: You'll be responsible for an accurate reflection of the custody and staking balances on the balance sheet and staking results in the profit and loss account in collaboration with the Finance team. You'll reconcile the balances with the blockchain, manage wallet transactions, and perform daily checks to ensure accurate balances and correct any discrepancies.
Risk Management: Together with Risk and Treasury colleagues you'll manage risks related to cold and hot wallet management and staking operations by keeping up to date on blockchain network upgrades, custody and validator selection and evaluation of market trends, and assessing potential risks. You’ll maintain and improve custody and staking procedures documents in line with established policies and contribute to continuous process improvements.
What We Look For
