Web3 Global Director - Product Design

Polygon is the leading platform for Ethereum scaling and infrastructure development. Its growing suite of products offers developers easy access to all major scaling and infrastructure solutions: L2 solutions (ZK Rollups and Optimistic Rollups), sidechains, hybrid solutions, stand-alone and enterprise chains, data availability solutions, and more. You’ll be managing the Design Leadership team along with the Head of Design. You will lead and grow a team of Lead Product Designers and be the visionary for our product portfolio. You ensure that all products and experiences are delivered on time and have the highest standards of quality. Polygon has multiple products in each Ethereum scaling solution. Polygon PoS product team works on product portfolio includes Web Wallet, Staking, Bridge, Widget and Cross chain Bridge. Polygon Hermez product team works on product portfolio , which includes Hermez wallet and Polygon ID products.

Requirements

• 2-3+ years of experience as Design Director 
• Web3 Experience

·       Identify and prioritize future roles based on team workload, wellbeing, development and business priorities.

·         Recruit, onboard and manage new Product Design Managers and Product Designers as we continue to grow.

·         Define and execute upon a vision for design and UX within our portfolio of products

·         Own a seat at the senior leadership table of Design + Product + Engineering to define roadmaps, strategy, innovation and achievement of business outcomes

·         Lead and motivate a team of talented product designers by providing mentorship, coaching, regular feedback and thoughtful career pathing.

·         Provide UX leadership using your experience with analytics, research, design methodologies and product launches to introduce best practices, scalable processes and design systems

·         Have strong people management and leadership skills in order to hire, develop, and inspire the team.

·         Encourage and enable team members in their career development, identifying opportunities for them to grow and achieve their goals.

·         Align teams to the overall strategy of Design, collaborating with peers across product portfolios to connect the dots, reviewing teams performance, running design critique efforts.

·         Introduce new technologies, techniques and design tools to improve performance and process.

·         Contribute to Product visions, along with plans for evolutionary, iterative updates, that allow the Product vision to be realized over time in partnership with Product, Strategy and Engineering.

·         Build strong collaborative partnerships with peers across Product and Engineering, promoting the value of design and advocating for designers
