YOUR ROLE

As an Quality Assurance Analyst you will maintain the quality and reliability of the software that the team produces while working closely with several team departments such as Compliance, Marketing and Operations. You will take part in various projects, assessing software quality by designing and implementing software testing processes. You will take ownership of code quality through exploratory and automated tests. You will hunt bugs, identify issues, report them, and see that they’re dealt with.

This position will report directly to our Director of Engineering and will be remote and based out of our head office in Toronto, Ontario.

YOUR IMPACT

• Responsible for executing and running functional tests on the software that the team produces
• Collaborating with the Engineering team/Product manager to ensure high quality performance
• Maintains and report, track and follow-up bugs and fixes for GB CAS software (Server or ATM) daily and internal system applications
• Perform regression tests to ensure the upgrading cycle is executed on existing systems
• Perform manual and automated testing that ensures product integrity while adhering to quality goals
• Identify test requirements from specifications, design comprehensive test case scenarios, map test cases to correspondent requirements and prepare test coverage plan
• Identify and troubleshoot problems across the system and report them through the tracking system in a timely manner
• Ability to lead and supervise QA projects from technical perspectives
• Connect with Localcoin stakeholders for feature clarifications to close knowledge gaps between server capability and what is already deployed
• Work closely with product owners, business analysts and developers to review and approve requirements and user stories
• Centralize all the tests related to General Bytes ATM and other distributors such as Lamassu
• Create, maintain, document & improve testing related processes
• Create simple regression tests user cases and execute them
• Analyze testing needs and develop testing strategies, plans, and test cases
• Identify any potential quality issues per defined process and escalate immediately to management
• Perform manual and automated testing that ensures product integrity while adhering to quality goals
• Identify, isolate defects, minimize steps to replicate and log issues into a defect tracking tool (JIRA), and verify fixes
• Ensure that validated deliverables meet functional and design specifications and requirements
• Balance multiple QA tasks and priorities with minimal supervision while working under tight deadlines
• Execute test cases, document, evaluate and report test results

THIS IS YOU

• Experience with Jira, PostMan, Insomnia and/or Selenium
• 3+ years of experience as QA Analyst
• CTFL Certification is required
• SQL & RDBM knowledge
• HTTP Rest APIs
• Programming knowledge
• Sharp writing/reading/communication skills

NICE TO HAVE

• Intermediate programming skills with Java or Python
• Bachelor’s of Computer Science or related degree
• Postman hands-on
• Apache JMeter hands-on
• Functional testing automation tools such as Selenium
