Working at Wintermute

We are looking to hire a Sales trader with a strong background in OTC trading and a proven track record of building and maintaining client relationships. As a Sales Trader, you will play a crucial role in executing trades, managing client portfolios and contributing to the growth of our OTC business. You will have the opportunity to develop your own strategic growth plan, while also getting advice and guidance from the team. We have the best liquidity products in the market, we work with many of the most prominent blockchain projects, we have many strategic growth opportunities in the pipeline, and a long line of counterparties wanting to develop relationships and trade with us. We have no legacy processes, no corporate bureaucracy, no multiple levels of approvals, yet the highest standards of professionalism.  

Responsibilities

    • Forge and develop strong relationships with new and existing counterparties including but not limited to Family Offices, Banks, Exchanges, Brokers, HNWI  as well as other clients we can support from an OTC stand-point
    • Executing large OTC trades to fulfill orders from counterparties 
    • Writing technical market commentary notes for counterparties whilst monitoring the markets, staying abreast of news, trends and events that may impact trading opportunities and risks. 
    • Evaluate and mitigate trading risks by using risk management strategies.
    • Work with the business development team to create and contribute to the OTC sales strategy. 
    • Participate in relevant conferences, events, and networking opportunities to expand our client base and stay ahead of market trends. 

Hard Skills Requirements

    • Min Bachelor’s degree in a Quantitative subject. 
    • At least 3 years experience working as a sales trader in a high performing business.
    • Crypto experience would be an advantage. However, we are open to consider applicants from other asset classes. 
    • Strong knowledge about the derivatives market, especially Options.
    • Experience in a HFT/Market making business would be a plus. 
    • Excellent quantitative and analytical skills 
    • Strong interest and curiosity in blockchain, crypto and DeFi - you like keeping track of major news and developments the crypto world
