Web3 Smart Contract Engineer - Rust (Remote US)

Stacked, a Chicago-based, ventured-funded crypto company with less than 100 employees, provides automation technology to help investors more easily manage their cryptocurrency investments and strategies. Founded out of a personal need, Stacked has grown quickly and has facilitated tens of millions of trades, billions of dollars of volume, and help tens of thousands of users.

We are looking for a smart contract engineer to expand our ecosystem in order to get us to the next stage of the company. Over the next several years we are going to be faced with some incredibly complex technical challenges and we will rely on you to help us overcome them. If you are an experienced Rust developer who wants to work in the crypto space, or a long-established Solidity engineer wanting to extend your blockchain knowledge to a new ecosystem, we are looking for you!

What you will do

• Write Rust smart contracts on Solana and tests according to business requirements.
• Create technical documentation.
• Work with teams across time zones. Perform source code management and versioning
• Spec, implement, test, and audit protocol upgrades and additions
• Work with existing contracts and implement new features based on the project’s pipeline

Requirements

• Knowledge of the DeFi industry and experience using DeFi products (Uniswap, Compound, etc.)
• At least 1 year of experience developing in Rust, knowledge of Solana, and smart contract design on the Solana blockchain
• Or ****** At least 2 years experience of writing high-quality, well-tested Solidity with smart contracts deployed to the mainnet, some experience with Rust and a strong desire to extend your knowledge to a new blockchain ecosystem like Solana.
• Experience interacting with the EVM
• Knowledgeable about smart contract security and best practices
• More than 4 years as a software coder in general (experience outside of blockchain included)
• An ability to deliver quality code with proper practices like unit testing and integration testing
• Ability to be creative, strategic, analytical, and think outside the box to solve problems
• The ability to be a team leader; Initiative-taking is required.
• Experience with architecture in on-chain to off-chain systems
• Ability to write very high-quality, well-tested code
• Passion for Open Finance/ DeFi or Trading
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• The ability to learn and adapt to a rapidly evolving tech stack
