Software Engineer - API Test and Support (Blockchain/Media)

Compensation: $11k - $60k estimated

Eluvio is a highly-focused and ambitious team of systems, networking, application and video software engineers, data scientists, and security experts working together to implement the vision of the Content Fabric - a decentralized platform for video and commerce with the ambition of serving a large percentage of the world's Internet video.

Our team is headquartered in Berkeley, CA, not far from UC Berkeley campus.

Our work extends the state-of-the-art in video engineering, Internet networking, data science and machine learning, blockchain security, and zero knowledge systems. We not only innovate, we also work closely with the digital content community to validate our solutions and are looking for team members who are both visionary and practical!

This is a critical position in our engineering team, in charge of the content fabric API with emphasis on: formal test, validation, performance and benchmarking, beautiful samples and developer supporting documentation.

Responsibilities range from applying API design principles and conventions, to tools and test frameworks, test development, to writing documentation and developer feedback analysis.

Requirements

  • strong understanding of REST / RPC APIs and familiarity with popular cloud-based APIs
  • prior experience in open source projects
  • fluent in many programming languages with emphasis in JavaScript/Node.js and preferably Go, Rust
  • experience with functional test frameworks and performance benchmarking
  • experienced in creating samples and API documentation and comfortable with open source software common practices
  • engineering degree or equivalent, and 2-5 years experience in areas relevant to the areas stated above
