We are building the data platform for blockchain, cryptocurrency, and web3. We are looking for a senior software engineer (full stack-backend) who will be critical to our mission and will be building and scaling the APIs and data layers our customers rely on every day to stop crime, understand risk, and strategize about their business. Our engineers deeply understand what is possible with cloud-native technologies and use those insights to enable our customers to push the boundaries of the cryptocurrency landscape. 

Our Alterya team is focused on AI-powered fintech and threat intelligence, empowering institutions to protect individuals from fraud transactions. We're currently looking for a Senior Software Engineer who will join a core team of experienced developers building production-grade backend services, data solutions, infrastructure, and data collection capabilities in a multi-cloud, hybrid SAAS infrastructure that supports production. 

The role will be based in Tel Aviv, and we are looking for eager, enthusiastic, curious, hard working and positive people to be part of our amazing journey.

In this job, you'll:

  • Collaborate with your peers to define architecture, quality standards, and best practices. 

  • Need to be proactive and have the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. 

  • Have close interfaces with different sections in the R&D team as well as other business units and therefore need to have strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Deliver simple, high-quality, maintainable and well tested code and solutions.

We’re looking for candidates who have:

  • Extensive experience as a backend developer, demonstrating a track record of delivering high-quality products.

  • Strong proficiency in Python

  • Familiarity with Redis, BigQuery, PostgreSQL (or equivalent SQL language)

  • The ability to be independent and proactive, as well as a team player

  • Great communication. Able to simplify a complex idea as well as collaborate effectively with others

  • A strong sense of ownership and responsibility over their work and tasks

Nice to have experience:

  • 2+ years of Experience in GCP/AWS architecture 

  • Contributes to open source projects 

  • Previous experience as a software developer in an IDF intelligence unit
