As a Payment Operations Specialist at Eco, you will:

  • Expand your professional skills by supporting the launch of fraud and transaction risk monitoring systems-- a critically-important function that will be instrumental in scaling Eco across millions of users.
  • Engage your sense of ownership by helping to ensure that our products and services stay in continuous compliance with applicable regulations and partner obligations, which ultimately serve as the backbone of our comprehensive product offering.
  • Be a Subject Matter Expert on chargeback and reversal handling, and help build our systems to support nationwide scalability.
  • Progress Eco’s cross-team initiatives, working with User Support daily to review and authorize requests related to user funds transfers and contributing to product specifications to enable the launch of revolutionary new features designed to greatly enhance the user experience.
  • Please note that although applicants from outside of the EST time zone are welcome to apply, the starting time for this role is 9am EST due to the time sensitive nature of some of the Payment Operations responsibilities.

We’re looking for you if:

  • You fancy yourself a problem solver, with a penchant for cross-team collaboration and great interpersonal skills.
  • You have exceptional attention to detail and organization skills, which can’t be compromised.
  • You pride yourself in your discipline, integrity, and work ethic-- and you insist on working in an environment with others who have the same values.
  • You are a world-builder who is constantly looking for ways to improve our processes.
  • You have working knowledge of Anti-money laundering (AML), Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), and Know Your Customer (KYC) regulations.
  • You have basic knowledge of Sanctions screening (e.g., OFAC), Card network rules, FedWire regulations, and NACHA regulations.
  • You have at least 1 year of previous experience working in a payment operations role.
  • You love learning, and are always working to expand your professional skills and knowledge.
