This is not just another job opportunity; it's a chance to make your mark in an industry-defining company.As an Assistant Accountant at Swyftx you will be a vital team member of the Finance function and be part of ensuring the overall business is successful in meeting its financial day-to-day targets; from issuing invoices, ensuring payments are made on time, to cash management and month-end reporting.
You will be a proactive and valued member of the Finance team, providing support and assistance to all of the finance team members. You take pride in your work, ask questions when you are not sure and are always looking to learn and develop your financial acumen.
Some of your key responsibilities in this role will include:
- Assisting with the monthly general ledger reconciliation process, including the processing of bank transactions, adjusting journals as well as responsibility for maintaining the integrity of key balance sheet accounts.
- Preparation of the monthly management reporting packs.
- Assist with the preparation of monthly and annual tax lodgements and FBT returns.
- Drive process and system improvements to enhance the financial reporting and control environment.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of key policy and process documentation.
- Providing reliable and timely support the Financial Controller and the wider Finance team with ad-hoc tasks.
To be successful you will have:
- Tertiary qualification in accounting or related discipline and 2-4 years' experience in a relevant commercial accounting role.
- Progression towards membership in a professional accounting body.
- High level computer literacy in Microsoft Office applications.
- A developed and demonstrable problem-solving ability.
- Well-developed organisational and communication skills and a customer-centric approach when liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
- High level of accuracy, numerical ability and attention to detail.
- Adaptable and proactive, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
