THE OPPORTUNITY

The client is seeking a QA Analyst to be part of our Oracle to AWS migration team and help drive the design, development, management and, execution of our end to end testing efforts for this migration.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Analyze business requirements in order to define application testing strategy and test plans.
  • Works with application development teams to participate in solution design to ensure testability of functions and applications
  • Identifies areas for improving efficiency, shortening of test cycles, and automation of test scripts
  • Facilitates implementation of automated test scripts
  • Ensures that requirements are clearly defined and testable
  • Responsible for the creation and execution of detailed test plans and scripts to verify software functionality and adherence to business requirements
  • Execution of scripts will include progress reporting, defect tracking and risk assessments
  • May serve as a coordinator for all testing activities on a project

Required Skills and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or related discipline.
  • 4-6 years minimum proven experience as a QA Analyst for a software development team.
  • At least 2 years of experience in applying Agile Methodology.
  • Broad understanding of industry standards, principles, theories and concepts involving quality testing.
  • Experience with JIRA, SQL and web-based testing environments.
  • Experience with Domain Specific Languages (Gherkin) and automated testing tools are highly desired.
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast paced, changing environment and be detail oriented.
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
