Los Angeles based digital art gallery Vellum LA is seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Social Media and Gallery Assistant with a comprehensive understanding of NFTs, the web3 space, and contemporary art. The Social Media and Gallery Assistant will be responsible for maintaining and growing Vellum LA’s social media presence, strategizing, developing and executing engaging content across social media platforms (Discord, Twitter, Instagram, Facebook) and regularly engaging with collectors and artists to grow awareness for Vellum LA in the online NFT community.

The Social Media and Gallery Assistant will also be responsible for assisting the gallery Director with market analysis, research, and organization and management of relevant materials for targeted collector outreach.

This is a hybrid position with some flexibility in hours but may also require flexibility to work on weekends and participation in in-person events at the gallery in Los Angeles. For this reason we are looking for Los Angeles based applicants only.

Responsibilities

• Social media copywriting and content creation, ensuring all messaging is engaging
• Maintain and grow Vellum LA’s social media platforms and audience (Discord, Twitter, Instagram, Facebook)
• Build, maintain and leverage a strong network of collectors, artists, industry professionals, and influencers via social media & discord
• Write engaging copyright about current exhibitions and artists for press releases, blog posts, and newsletters
• Perform market analysis and research around strategies within the web3 and digital art space to help drive gallery sales and overall reach
• Compile and write artist portfolios for collector outreach and research the context, background and sales of artworks
• Manage and update Vellum LA’s collector’s list
• Collaborate with the team on the organization of upcoming shows
• Assist with organizing online artist talks and discussions
• Occasionally take over in person front desk duties at the gallery on weekends
• Assist before, during, and after in-person events and openings at the gallery
• Serve as a representative of Vellum LA during both work and non-working hours

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year working in social media or content marketing
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Analytics-driven, creating content with performance and engagement in mind
• Capable of operating independently/be a self-starter
• Able to work collaboratively with a small team
• Knowledge of NFTs, web3, and contemporary art is a must
• Passionate and eager to learn from and educate community about NFTs, Web3
• related topics, and digital art
• Highly organized and capable of multitasking
• Outstanding attention to detail
• Confident in your abilities to write about contemporary art and NFT related topics
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Applications, social media platforms (Discord, Twitter, Instagram, Facebook)
• Basic proficiency in Adobe Premiere and Photoshop is a plus
• Ability to think outside the box and create unique social and marketing strategies
