Role – Technical Architect - Emerging Technologies

Location – Erie, PA (Hybrid)

Duration – Fulltime


Job Description

We seek a highly skilled and visionary Technical Architect or Senior Engineer to lead our team focused on exploring and integrating emerging technologies into our solutions. This role is pivotal in identifying, evaluating, and deploying cutting-edge technologies that can provide competitive advantages to our clients in the P&C industry. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in technology and architecture and a keen insight into the future of IT solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the exploration and evaluation of emerging technologies, including but not limited to AI, AR/VR, IoT, and cloud advancements, to assess their viability and potential impact on the P&C industry.
  • Design and architect solutions that integrate new technologies into existing systems, ensuring scalability, performance, and security.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, software development, and operations, to drive the adoption of innovative technologies.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
  • Stay abreast of technology trends and developments and advise senior management on strategic technology directions and investments.
  • This is a hands-on role and will require development at times.

Technical Skills:

  • Deep understanding of software architecture principles and patterns.
  • Proficiency in multiple programming languages and frameworks relevant to emerging technologies (e.g., Python for AI, Solidity for blockchain).
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and cloud-native architectures.
  • Knowledge of containers and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate the potential of new technologies in real-world scenarios.

Personality Skills:

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong technical leadership skills, with the ability to lead projects from conception to completion.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 8-10 yrs years of experience in software development and technology architecture, with at least 1-2 years focused on emerging technologies.
  • Proven track record of successfully implementing new technologies in enterprise environments.
  • Previous experience in the P&C industry is highly desirable but not required.
