🙌🏼 What you will be doing

The Finance Assistant (Part Time) sits within the Finance function, the successful applicant will be responsible for supporting the Finance team on the accurate and timely close of the month end process. The Finance Assistant will support the Financial Accountant and Group Financial Controller on accounts payable, accounts receivable and bank reconciliation duties.

We’re a start-up, so you’ll have to roll your sleeves up and wear multiple hats depending on the business focus and objectives at any given time. We don’t bind you to a job description.

🧩 What you will be working on

• Posting and reconciling bank transactions e.g. payments, transfers and maintaining bank accounts in the financial system
• Assisting in updating accounts payable and performing reconciliations for vendors accounts
• Posting and processing journal entries to record business transactions
• Responding to simple vendor and employees’ queries regarding payments of invoices & expenses & reimbursements
• Assisting in the process of issuing invoices to customers and updating accounts receivable
• Reconciling vendors accounts by daily checking their accounts and chasing for missing documents, updating simple information in the financial system

🤟🏻What you will bring

• Proven experience in a Finance Assistant role with a focus on accounts payable and bank reconciliation
• You have accounting system experience, preferably Netsuite but not essential
• A problem solver and someone who thrives in a fast paced ever changing environment
• You possess excellent organisation and communication skills
• You are happy to get stuck in to new areas and challenges
