About Us
Parity is one of the world’s most experienced companies building the core infrastructure behind blockchain — the system that allows information and value to be shared securely without needing an intermediary. We’re laying the foundation for a better web which respects the freedom and data of individuals, and empowers developers to build better, more trustworthy online services.
Our remote-first, global team develops open-source software that anyone can use or improve. This includes Polkadot, Polkadot SDK, and Kusama — key parts of the Web3 tech stack, the next generation of the internet. Our mission is to make Polkadot the most active and innovative community in blockchain, powering a new era of connected and decentralised applications.
About the Team
This role sits in our Acceleration department, home to the people who drive ecosystem growth by building tools, integrations, and partnerships across the Polkadot network.
Reporting into our Engineering Product Lead, you’ll be joining our Product Development team. The Product team defines priorities and works across engineering to design and deliver new features that improve Polkadot’s products and user experience.
The team gathers feedback, solves user problems, and helps make sure what we build is useful, usable, and adopted products across the ecosystem.
About the Role
As an Android Engineer, you’ll be leading the charge in crafting next-gen digital products for users to interact with Polkadot and the decentralised world beyond.
What you’ll do
Architect & Build – Design and develop fluid, high-performance Android applications.
Create Beautiful UX – Build smooth, intuitive interfaces that make crypto adoption easy.
Innovate & Optimise – Solve many complex challenges like cross-chain transactions, and zero-trust security models.
Stay Cutting-Edge – Implement the latest blockchain SDKs, cryptographic security measures, to solve real-world mobile problems at scale.
Collaborate Globally – Work with engineers, product managers, and the wider blockchain community to push the limits of what’s possible.
Your skills
Solid experience in Android development with Kotlin.
Strong expertise in Jetpack Compose, Coroutines, and MVVM architecture.
Deep understanding of encryption, and secure data storage.
Experience working with REST APIs, WebSockets, and real-time data handling.
About Working With Us
