Let’s go!    Your Mission As a Golang Engineer at Bitpanda, you’ll play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining scalable backend services that power one of Europe’s leading fintech platforms. You’ll collaborate closely with experienced engineers to improve system reliability, optimize performance, and deliver new product features. This is a hands-on engineering role where you’ll work with modern technologies like Go, Docker, AWS, and event-driven architectures to solve real-world challenges at scale.   What You’ll Do

Design, implement, and maintain high-performance backend services and APIs (REST, gRPC, GraphQL) using Go. Collaborate on distributed systems, microservices architecture, and cloud-native solutions on AWS. Build, test, and deploy containerized applications using Docker and CI/CD pipelines. Work with event streaming tools (Kafka) and use monitoring/observability tools to ensure system reliability. Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and drive improvements in codebase, processes, and infrastructure.

  Who You Are

1 year of backend development experience, with strong hands-on Golang skills. Solid understanding of software engineering principles, data structures, and algorithms. Experience building and maintaining microservices and APIs in production. Comfortable with Docker, Git, Linux tooling, and cloud platforms (AWS preferred). Curious, proactive, and eager to learn; familiar with CI/CD, observability, scalability, and event-driven systems (Kafka/message queues a plus).
