Web3 Director of Brand and Comms

IOV Labs runs a three-brand, B2B2C model and this position is to lead the strategy and execution for the brand marketing and PR/Comms for IOV Labs, Rootstock and RIF Products and Services. 

 

IOV Labs is a purpose driven trust dedicated to creating a freer, fairer, more decentralized world by creating and decentralizing blockchain technologies that allow web3 entrepreneurs and FinTech innovators to build smart contract powered applications backed by Bitcoin. IOV Labs is the creator of the RSK blockchain (Rootstock) who’s native token is Bitcoin. RSK is decentralized and open-source and its marketing is following suit. RIF Products and Services are a set of protocols and products being built on Rootstock by IOV Labs that will allow our vision to become a reality

 

We are looking for an experienced Brand and Comms professional who is not only able to execute - the What, but who also can own the strategy - the why -  able to weave together the Brand, PR & Events function that they will directly manage to tell impactful stories about IOV Labs, Rootstock and RIF.

 

The ideal candidate will have at least 8+ years marketing experience with at least 2 years of management, as well as a mix of B2B and B2C story telling, with B2B and PR experience - whether agency or client-side mandatory. We are looking for someone with experience of fast-growth and early stage technology companies, ideally within Web3 or if not FinTech, Financial Services and/or B2B SaaS. Emerging Market experience is a big bonus. 

 

This person is a data-driven storyteller, someone who has a proven record of turning narratives into hard numbers and empirical results for a business.

What You'll Be Doing

• Own both the Strategy and Execution for Brand/PR/Comms activity for IOV Labs’ three brands, setting Goals, Metrics and OKRs
• Mentor and lead the brand and comms team of 6, which includes the Head of Brand who looks after content, community and campaigns, as well as a PR Manager and an Events lead.
• Select, manage and ensure value and impact of external suppliers and freelance provides
• Work with the head of brand to own and maintain brand guidelines and consistency in all comms across all three brands and maintain brand quality and correct adoption within the organization for all three brands
• Craft powerful multichannel campaigns that have asymmetric impact within and beyond the world of Web3
• Work with the VP Marketing to own and shape your budget and be accountable for outcomes, not just outputs
• Be part of the leadership overseeing the transformation of marketing at IOV LAbs
