Web3 Sales & Business Development Lead(Startups, Mid-level experience, Blockchain)

Compensation: $35k - $50k

Location: Nairobi Nairobi Kenya

Safariblocks is a privately-held company that researches, and builds blockchain-based financial instruments to advance financial health for consumers globally. Our products are built and hosted on the public, and borderless Algorand Blockchain Ecosystem. In collaboration with the Algorand Foundation, we are developing a protocol that includes a non-custodial all-weather crypto mobile wallet, a digital token and a custom asset tokenization web application.

We are looking for a young, and energetic Sales & Business Development Lead, with mid-level experience, to join our core team.

As Sales & Business Development Lead, you will need to:

  1. Diligently research, prospect for, and strategically reach out to crypto protocols, and businesses that will eventually be paying customers for our product verticals. You should be able to convince them of our products' value to their businesses.
  2. You will be in charge of growing the product’s ecosystem through business partnerships, and community growth.
  3. Conduct research to identify new users and markets for our product and its verticals.
  4. Arrange and lead business meetings with partner crypto protocols, and businesses who from your research will eventually be paying customers for our product verticals. Typically the blockchain/crypto space is global in nature and runs 24/7, so you should be comfortable working remotely and with people in differing time zones.
  5. Diligently research, prospect for, and strategically convert non-crypto businesses in our key markets to valuable ecosystem partners in our product verticals
  6. Conduct research to identify new customer needs that inform the urgency of new product verticals or innovations to be made to improve customer experience or add new value.
  7. Engage, and build long-term relationships with all business partners.
  8. Work with the Treasury Manager to keep records of sales, revenues, and invoices
  9. Increase, communicate and manage an online global community of retail liquidity providers and developers through social community channels that include Telegram, Twitter, and Discord.
  10. Develop a short-term, and long-term growth strategy focused both on financial gain and customer satisfaction
  11. Prepare sales contracts for our B2B2C and B2B product verticals, and working with our legal team to ensure regulations are considered.
  12. Develop pricing models for our product verticals that meet revenue margin targets
  13. Offer insight on monetization for any new products the engineering team creates.
  14. Develop our product’s branding tone, strategy and awareness

Skills:

  1. Proven working experience as a business development manager, sales executive or a relevant role.
  2. Knowledge of the blockchain/crypto market
  3. Communication & Negotiation Skills
  4. Presentation skills using Canva, Powerpoint etc.
  5. Time management and planning skills
  6. Ability to work in stressful environments
  7. BSc/BA in business administration, sales or relevant field
  8. Proficiency in English
  9. Having worked in the fintech or capital markets space is a plus but not required, can be substituted for work experience in the blockchain/crypto markets.

Compensation Structure: Base Salary(whose compensation range is included on AngelList profile, but is always open to negotiation), Performance Bonuses, & Equity Options
