Copper’s Information Security department keep the business’ systems and network resources secure and protect the company, employees, and client data.

Our ServiceDesk team is in the frontline for the Information Technology team. Responding to requests and providing general assistance within the office for anything IT related.

Key Responsibilities of the role

We’re looking for a talented individual to join our IT & Information Security team for an unforgettable 8-week internship. As one of our interns, you will bring your own unique perspective as a learner, together with your academic knowledge, technical skills, and enthusiasm, and will gain a comprehensive introduction to our business.

Your experience, skills and knowledge

4 weeks embedded in the Security team helping and shadowing functions like:

  • Security Systems Configuration and Analysis
  • Identity and Access Management (IAM)
  • Security Practices and Technical Advice
  • Security Risk Management
  • SIEM Management and Log Analysis
  • Security Solution Inventory and Maintenance

4 weeks embedded in IT team helping and shadowing tasks like:

  • Provide technical support for both hardware and software issues our users may encounter.
  • Deploying software, creating user groups and operating system policies across the entire IT network.
  • Installing, configuring and maintaining software, hardware, network and application components of the IT system.
  • Diagnosing, troubleshooting and resolving software, hardware and networking issues.
  • Ensuring proper and secure storage, backup and retrieval of data.
  • Replacing and upgrading outdated or defective components.
  • Respond to and resolve help desk requests.
  • ServiceDesk: Responding to requests and providing general assistance within the office for anything IT related.

Essential

  • Studying a Technical Degree.
  • Learning technical skills related to the industry.
  • High sense of responsibility and confidentiality.
  • Confidence and enthusiasm when sharing ideas internally.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills.

Desirable

  • Knowledge of the Fintech industry.

About the internship

Successful candidates will spend 8 weeks working with our xxx team in the summer months. This will include:

  • £14 per hour
  • 8 weeks programme
  • 1st July start date
  • Opportunity to learn from experienced professionals
