Sales Associate at Skolem

Skolem is recruiting for an ambitious, proactive, results-driven sales professional to grow our client base. Our platform appeals to a full range of institutional customer segments, such as hedge funds, banks, sovereign wealth funds, and crypto native service providers. As an acquisition sales professional, you will generate sales leads from your own network and rigorous analysis of the landscape, develop personalized outreach strategies to connect with the target personas and turn prospects into demo opportunities. Additionally, you will be responsible for qualifying and handling inbound leads. Throughout your sales conversations, you will detect customer pain points, understand their objectives, and identify how Skolem’s current and future product offerings can add value to our clients. In doing so, you will create the beginning of what we aim to be strong, long-lasting relationships between Skolem and our clients.

We expect candidates to have a foundation in financial services, sales experience and a passion for the digital asset space. By leveraging this experience, the candidate has an opportunity to create a significant impact on the revenues of the Skolem business while also developing industry leading expertise in the nascent DeFi space.

This role will report to Skolem’s Chief Revenue Officer and will be based in London, United Kingdom where we have a hybrid office/remote working culture.

As a Sales Associate, You Can Expect to:

  • Leverage prior relationships, industry knowledge/experience, and Skolem network to identify prospective clients, build the sales funnel, and effectively convert prospects into clients.
  • Maintain a close pulse and critical eye on addressable client segments across a wide range of industries, prioritizing where there is strongest fit between prospects and Skolem.
  • Market Skolem and our offerings to viable prospective clients through thoughtful, personalized touchpoints, including cold email outreach, conference attendance, warm introductions through your network, and social media (e.g. LinkedIn, Telegram, Discord).
  • Partner with colleagues across Business Development, Product, and Strategy to execute personalized sales discussions, including initial discovery calls and demos.
  • Bring a strategic perspective to the sales process, including sales enablement technology, and offer feedback for improvements.
  • Maintain an organized, proactive posture throughout the sales cycle, from initial outreach, to eventual contract execution and client onboarding.

  • A strong track record of sales performance in Financial Services and a track record in leveraging prior relationships, industry knowledge/experience and your team’s network to identify prospective clients, build the sales funnel, and convert prospects into clients
  • Sensibility for identifying viable clients, prioritizing which clients to approach, and how to approach clients you don’t already know.
  • A data and process mindset and experience using a CRM effectively.
  • Experience coordinating across geographies, time zones and business area; ability to communicate client needs and expectations across various teams, including Product and Technology
  • Strong ability across the sales lifecycle: generating cold leads, building relationships, presenting effectively, and negotiating fee terms
  • Subject matter expertise on DeFi market structure, protocol landscape, competitors, opportunities, regulatory frameworks
    Interest and curiosity about the DeFi space and the nature of acquisition sales (building relationships, knocking on doors, facing rejection as well as success)
