About the Role:

The Business Systems Analyst (Production Support) position is a team oriented and fast paced work environment. This role is a key, client facing position where you problem solve client issues and questions pertaining to defi SERVICING. You will interact with clients at varying levels of the organization and you will need good oral and written skills. The role includes many diverse responsibilities ranging from initial analysis of Production Issues submitted by both External and Internal Client. The Production Support Business Analyst is responsible for analyzing the Production Support Issue and working with the Production Support Delivery Team to quickly determine the root cause of the issue and identify the resolution.


The Production Support Business Analyst works closely with other members of the project team to include supporting the Client Services, Development, Quality Assurance Teams inclusive of supporting activities through the deployment of the Release.


Essential Job Responsibilities:


1. Provide business and some technical support to address client questions on functionality and usage of the suite of products.

2. Analyze, troubleshoot and resolve reported problems, which may involve replication and testing efforts to resolve.

3. Review the Production Support defect and work with the submitter in order to properly document the issue, steps to recreate and the resolution.

4. Support the Technical Writer in creating the Release Notes.

5. Manage the process to create Client Notifications for the monthly Release process. This includes leading weekly meetings to determine the issues to be included in the Release.

6. Conduct system evaluations to determine client workflows, documents and procedures to verify proper product usage.

7. Effectively interact and communicate with others in the organization the nature of the client’s issue/problem.

8. Propose products/solutions to clients to enhance clients’ system productivity.

9. Provide advice or analysis that may influence the outcome of resource allocation or disposition.

10. Support the Delivery Teams in order to become familiar with the features that are released monthly in order to support production issues related to the feature.

11. Monitor open cases to ensure resolution per the established Service Level Agreement (SLA).

12. Monitor technical support issues to ensure timely and accurate resolution.

13. Maintain accurate and thorough records in the Defect Tracking system.

14. Performs other duties as required

Required Qualifications:

Education:

· Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, computer science and/or related fields required.


Job Related Experience:


  • Minimum Job-Related Experience: 5-8 years work-related experience.
  • Excellent time management skills including the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with managers and associates, along with working with external clients and vendors
  • Ability to interpret and communicate the needs of the business and the systems team effectively to all stakeholders, focusing on the “what” and the “why”, not the “how”
  • Understands and applies the appropriate use of various analysis techniques (textual formats, models, diagrams and matrices)
  • Demonstrated ability to evaluate and prioritize many tasks against limited development resources
  • Knowledge of project management principles, practices, techniques, and tools
  • Success presenting information to technical and non-technical staff in a manner facilitating understanding by the intended audience
  • Solid written skills to document needs accurately for delivery of a quality product
  • Effectively recognizes opportunities beyond the underlying business needs and issues
  • Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment

Additional Skills/Knowledge:


  • Adept at problem solving by researching and analyzing information before recommending/selecting an appropriate solution.
  • Ability to read, understand and interpret complex business or technical subjects; must be able to discuss or explain this data with others, either internal or external to defi.
  • Ability to receive responsibilities and objectives assigned with some latitude for setting priorities and decision-making within established policies and procedures.
  • Excellent presentation skills in addition to oral, written and communication skills.
  • Ability to determine problems sources, suggest innovations and meet deadlines.
  • Finance and/or accounting knowledge required.
  • Knowledge relating to software systems used in industry (vehicle or equipment financing/leasing) and/or related product knowledge.
  • Previous client/customer support experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of all products and services to perform “soft” sales to existing client base through day-to-day contact.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products a plus.
