About the role:
We are looking for a Trading Business Development Manager to join our Quant Trading team. You will be responsible for building and extending partnership in trading business. You will communicate across different parties, both internal and external and help devise effective business plans / products that are in line with the strategic aims. A high-level cross teamwork and engagement with stakeholders such as middle to senior management across different regions is expected.
Your responsibilities:
- Demonstrate a strong business acumen in blockchain, cryptocurrency trading to inspire clients, business partners and internal teams
- Establish trust and deep collaboration with traders, sales, product managers to generate ideas, build business plans
- Perform market research and analysis on the cryptocurrency / blockchain industry and evaluate its impacts / opportunities on trading
- Provide market insights, latest trends / developments and competitive analysis to trading desks and product / business managers
- Align business plans / proposal with trading business value propositions and roadmap
- Be influential to internal teams and able to propose solutions with sufficient technical details
- Route qualified opportunities to Institutional Sales or other relevant teams
- Be flexible on working across on different time zones
- A go-to-person for trading business partnership
- Degree in Business / Finance. Master degree or industry qualification is a plus.
- 5+ years of solid business development experience, gained from Banking / Brokerage / FinTech industry
- Good understanding of blockchain and cryptocurrency industry, sound knowledge on financial products (including derivatives) and trading lifecycle
- Excellent skills in idea generation, proposal writing and presentation skills
- Excellent negotiation, influencing and communication skills
- Strong relationship building and networking skills
- Must be a self starter, fast learner and highly motivated
- Ability to perform well under pressure and tight deadlines
- Strong interest in the cryptocurrency / blockchain / trading industry
- Certification in CFA / FRM is a big plus
- Proficiency in both written/spoken English and Mandarin. Cantonese would be a plus.
