About the role
We are looking for a Data Scientist to join our Growth Analytics team, which sits in the Growth Team to support growth strategy and operations by providing business insights for management. You would be key to contributing expertise and experience in developing our advanced models. To succeed in this role, you should possess research or model development background and are familiar with the whole development process in a team setup. You would be the go-to person for data science expert knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Build predictive and machine learning models to inform business decisions, topics include but are not limited to customer lifetime value, user segmentation, budgeting and forecasting, marketing attribution model etc.
• Use the right tool and knowledge in machine learning and statistics to solve business problems
• Find the right balance between solving the problem and using advanced technology
• Act as the go-to person to influence the development process, which includes ideation, research, proof of concept, evaluation etc.
• Coach other data scientists to help the team grow and facilitate knowledge transfer
• Communicate with stakeholders in the organization such as project managers, data engineers, growth marketers and senior executives

• Preferably Msc and/or PhD in quantitative discipline such as Statistics, Economics, Engineering etc.
• 5+ years of experience in predictive modelling using machine learning and statistics in a commercial context
• Advanced knowledge in programming languages and data stack, e.g. Python/R, scikit-learn, tensorflow, AWS athena etc.
• Expert level of understanding in concepts and techniques in machine learning/statistics/econometrics
• Ability to work in a team and collaborate with people from different backgrounds
• Passion to constantly explore new technologies and fail fast to learn fast
