We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our team as a Security IT Operations Analyst. This role is responsible for the seamless operation, monitoring, and security of our IT infrastructure while also handling advanced cybersecurity tasks. The ideal candidate will excel in both proactive and reactive measures to maintain system functionality, security, and compliance with industry standards, contributing to a robust and advanced IT ecosystem.

Responsibilities

    • Analyze and triage security events and alerts, adding context to incidents for better understanding of potential threats.
    • Perform data analysis using SIEM tools and multiple data sources to identify malicious activities.
    • Implement and monitor security controls to protect client data and systems, in line with CySEC and GDPR requirements
    • Assist in ICT related incident recording and escalation procedures per internal DORA-compliant protocols
    • Contribute to building automation workflows for security and IT operations, including alert triage, vulnerability management, system monitoring, and routine tasks.
    • Provide first-line technical support to internal users for hardware, software, network, and applications.
    • Monitor the health and performance of IT systems, ensuring network availability and server stability.
    • Perform routine software updates, patch management, and document business continuity incident logs.
    • Support onboarding and offboarding processes including device provisioning, access control, and account management.
    • Maintain backup systems, support ICT risk assessments, and participate in disaster recovery testing.
    • Collaborate with third-party vendors and service providers for IT infrastructure and cloud services.
    • Ensure compliance with industry frameworks such as GDPR and ISO 27001, as well as operational frameworks like DORA.
    • On-call responsibilities may apply.

Requirements

    • 3+ years of experience in Information Security, IT Operations, or combined roles.
    • Proficiency with SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar, Sentinel), EPP/EDR/XDR and SOAR solutions
    • Familiarity with monitoring tools and frameworks within Cloud environments (AWS, Azure preferred).
    • Awareness of cybersecurity frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST), endpoint protection, and phishing awareness.
    • Experience in designing and developing automation workflows for SecOps and ITOps tasks using SOAR tools or scripting languages
    • Fluency in English is mandatory. Knowledge of Greek is an advantage

    • Technical Competencies:

    • Ability to troubleshoot, escalate, and resolve system or security incidents efficiently.
    • Proven ability to identify opportunities for process improvements and apply automation to enhance workflows.

    • Soft Skills:
    • Highly motivated, detail-oriented, and able to operate independently or within a team environment.
    • Strong problem-solving mindset and ability to prioritize in high-pressure situations.
    • Reliable, proactive, and committed to maintaining confidentiality, security, and compliance.

    • Education and Certifications:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related discipline.
    • Relevant IT/Security certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CEH, CySA+, or equivalent) are highly desirable.
    • Cloud-related certifications (AWS/Azure Fundamentals) are a strong plus.
