The protocol is used by institutional participants, including licensed exchanges, federally chartered digital asset banks, and publicly listed companies.
Role Description
We’re hiring a Director of Institutional Business Development to expand Kamino’s institutional footprint in the United States. In this senior, revenue-driving role, your primary objective is to originate, structure, and close partnerships with funds, fintechs, neobanks, trading firms, and other capital allocators. You will own high-impact institutional deals end-to-end, from first conversation through launch.
You’ll work to embed Kamino into existing financial workflows and products, unlocking new pathways for institutional capital to access transparent, onchain lending and liquidity infrastructure. As capital markets continue moving onchain, Kamino is building the rails for the next generation of credit. You will play a key role in bringing institutional finance into the onchain economy.
What You’ll Do
- Drive institutional partnerships
- Source, develop, and close strategic partnerships that drive sustainable TVL and revenue
- Build and manage a high-quality pipeline of institutional counterparties
- Position Kamino’s credit infrastructure to new and existing market participants
- Structure and negotiate commercial terms with senior stakeholders
Represent Kamino externally
- Serve as a credible public-facing representative at conferences, roundtables, and industry events
- Build relationships across the Solana ecosystem and institutional crypto landscape
- Strengthen Kamino’s presence with U.S. financial institutions
Translate market insight into product signal
- Gather institutional feedback and surface actionable insights to product and risk teams
- Identify emerging opportunities across lending, RWAs, and onchain credit markets
Operate with DeFi fluency
- Understand lending markets, risk frameworks, oracle dependencies, and capital efficiency
- Articulate Solana vs. EVM tradeoffs clearly
- Communicate complex onchain mechanics to non-crypto audiences
