About the Team:
This team is part of the Global Customer Service function, where it is at the heart of managing and balancing risk and reward for our global platform. We work closely with all our key stakeholders, such as Compliance, Product, Customer Service, Marketing, Finance, and Payment Operations to successfully launch various global products while understanding the associated risks and management strategies for business growth.
About the Opportunity:
We are seeking a talented Fraud Risk Specialist specializing in risk analytics to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong data analytical skills, attention to detail, and good understanding of payment systems and associated risks. This role will play a critical part in optimizing operational gaps, identifying potential risks, and implementing strategies to mitigate them.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Analyze payment related transaction data to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies indicative of potential payment risks.
- Conduct root cause analysis on payment disputes, chargebacks, and other risk-related incidents to identify underlying issues and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, as a liaison between operations teams and stakeholders, translating operational needs and challenges into data-driven insights and actionable recommendations.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to fraud risk operation, provide regular reports on operational metrics and trends.
- Stay updated on industry regulations, best practices, and emerging trends in payment risk management and fraud prevention.
- Design and implement data visualization techniques to communicate payment risk insights effectively to stakeholders.
What We Look For In You:
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Finance, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Proven experience in data analysis, with a focus in the crypto, banking, financial or fintech sector.
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, R, or other programming languages for data manipulation and analysis.
- Fluency in Mandarin will be a plus, both written and spoken, to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders across functional teams.
- Ability to learn new technology tools quickly.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to conduct thorough analysis and make data-driven recommendations.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
