About the Team:
The Risk function at Okcoin is responsible for the overall risk and fraud prevention at the company. We’re a team of risk-minded problem solvers who advise the business on the company’s regulatory obligations and enterprise risk. We’re also deeply committed to moving the needle on risk standards for the crypto industry, building products in a compliant way, and protecting the company from financial, regulatory, and reputational risks. Our team consists of seasoned risk professionals who are based across our global offices.
About the Opportunity:
This role is within the Operations Team at Okcoin which reports directly to the Risk Manager within the Risk department. This role will conduct complex blockchain and fraud investigations including managing the overall fraud typology framework. This is a fast paced and exciting role here at Okcoin. There will be numerous opportunities to lead projects, engage stakeholders, and to drive the risk and blockchain investigation roadmap.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Work directly with the Risk Manager on identifying and preventing fraud crimes and financial losses to the company and victims;
- Design a global framework to improve our risk investigation program by leveraging blockchain investigation tools;
- Build out our in-house blockchain investigation expertise including delivering training to other investigators;
- Identify complex fraud patterns and their technical root causes through detailed analysis, and work with the risk rules team to implement fraud monitoring controls;
- Serve as a subject matter expert in relation to on-chain investigations, researching and analyze current and emerging trends involving cryptocurrency and other digital assets;
- Analyse blockchain activities and customer trading patterns to identify and prevent financial risk and losses;
- Lead or participate in projects as needed.
What We Look For In You:
- Minimum 3 years of experience working/supporting investigations as a Blockchain SME;
- 5yrs+ years of relevant fraud investigation experience in the financial services / eCommerce / Fintech industry;
- Expert with blockchain analysis tools such as Chainalysis, Elliptic, or others;
- Knowledge of and passion for blockchain/cryptocurrency technology;
- Ability to think critically and strategically, and present information thoroughly in a highly organized manner.
Nice to Haves:
- CAMs, CFE or Chainalysis Reactor Certification (CRC)
- Bachelor’s or Advanced Degree.
