About the Role:
The Market Engineering Lead at Notabene plays a critical role in building and maintaining customer-facing products, working closely with Market Leads to translate market needs into effective product solutions. This role involves a deep understanding of Notabene's technical platform, the ability to manage and guide a team of skilled engineers, and a strong collaborative approach to working with other functions within the company.
What You'll Do
- Lead and manage product engineering teams, aligning them to functional areas such as workflows, analytics, external integrations, and embedded components.
- Collaborate with other Market Leads to translate customer and market needs into technical solutions that align with Notabene’s strategic goals.
- Oversee the development of user-friendly, reliable, and scalable customer-facing products that enhance adoption and usability.
- Drive the transition to a functional team structure, ensuring alignment with Notabene’s product strategy and market requirements.
- Champion product quality and user-centricity by implementing best practices, gathering user feedback, and conducting usability testing.
- Serve as a thought leader in the compliance and fintech space, actively contributing to industry discussions through content creation, speaking engagements, and building relationships with key stakeholders
- Foster a collaborative, innovative engineering culture, providing mentorship and promoting knowledge sharing across teams.
Must Haves
- 6-10 years in payment networks or B2B marketplaces, including 3+ years in an early-stage or crypto company.
- Proven leadership in managing engineering teams focused on functional product areas (e.g., workflows, analytics, external integrations).
- Strong technical knowledge of event-driven microservices, distributed systems, and API integrations.
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with market leads, core teams, and external stakeholders to align technical and strategic goals.
- Demonstrated success in improving product quality, enhancing user experience, and driving customer-centric development.
- Exceptional project management, organizational, and time management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Strategic thinking to anticipate the downstream impacts of proposed decisions, understand and map edge cases, and engage the right people at the right time to reach the right conclusion.
- Based in Europe or the US East Coast.
Nice-to-Haves
- Familiarity with rapid-growth environments or scaling technical teams.
- Background in crypto-focused product engineering or compliance-related technologies.
- Extra credit if based in London, New York, Zürich, or Berlin.
