Agoric is an open-source software development company bringing better security and composability to the decentralized financial infrastructure of today. Agoric is built on a JavaScript library of reusable, composable components coded by experienced community members. Our secure JavaScript smart contract platform allows developers to rapidly build secure applications on top of an ever-growing collection of reusable governance, lending, and trading components.

We've done the legwork to create a reliable, secure, and composable DeFi infrastructure. Now we are seeking a talented Director of Developer Relations to join our team to help us help developers to build the next generation of DeFi applications. The ideal candidate should be excited by the opportunity to help bring DeFi to the mainstream Javascript community. You will be a key player in the Agoric management team, working closely with internal and external developer communities.

About This Role

This is a unique opportunity for an experienced leader in Developer Relations who has the vision and the ability to shape the Agoric developer community. The Director of Developer Relations will create tools and incentives to expand our community of developers. Our goal is for developer community members to be our biggest and most active advocates.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Concept, plan, and develop training, onboarding programs and related resources for developers
  • Build the Developer Relations function and hire top talent
  • Lead interface with functional leaders across the company
  • Lead interface between Agoric and outside developers and technical partners
  • Create and lead processes to make developers successful and provide support to new developers, technical partner, reference partners and crypto developers
  • Act as a resource to developers in their quest to advance in Web 3 and Javascript
  • Participate in key engineering meetings or otherwise maintain insight on tech progress; be the subject matter expert for marketing content aimed at developers
  • Write articles, blogs, podcasts and assist in the creation of other content
  • Manage multiple channels of social media, including management of outside resources
  • Represent Agoric at conferences, hackathons, and developer meetups
  • Provide technical support to the developer community via TG and Discord
  • Build and support knowledge base to integrate into developer web experience
  • Be a key voice of the developer to MarCom, PM, Eng, Biz Dev, and Execs

What We Look For In You
  • Degree in Computer Science, related field, or commensurate industry experience
  • 7+ years experience, predominantly in open source software
  • Experience in an early stage software company
  • Experience with the three Cs of Dev Rel: Community, Coding, Content
  • Prior experience in developer relations
  • Successfully created tech content such as videos, articles, and infographics
  • Working knowledge of JavaScript
  • Proficient in the latest smart contract development tools

Nice to haves
  • Experience in blockchain
  • Past experience in a role at the intersection of Engineering and Marketing
  • Experience in a company / role starting small and growing fast
