We are currently seeking a creative and passionate Account Director to join our Consumer team, working on some of Australia’s biggest brands. Based in our Sydney or Brisbane office, the AD will be working alongside the Consumer Practice Director and team across brands in the travel & tourism, FMCG and life>

We are looking for a candidate who enjoys thinking creatively and working in a vibrant agency, managing a portfolio of diverse and interesting clients, as well as working with a team on new business pitches and mentoring junior members of the team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate excellence in both the craft of communications and client consulting skills
  • Driving creative and “earned-plus” thinking for consumer brands, making sure client stories are relevant to earned media on a national and state level
  • Remaining on-trend across the consumer space, taking an active interest in our client’s business to pre-empt opportunities, issues and providing ongoing strategic counsel
  • Provide thought-leadership when it comes to industry trends, social and content marketing, updating the agency on beneficial happenings and campaigns for our clients
  • Digital, social media and influencer savvy with an understanding and passion across a range of social media platforms and the influencer space
  • Participate in new business development and take ownership of portions of new business proposals under the guidance of senior management
  • Guide, coach and inspire junior staff to develop media contacts and strategies
  • Work with senior leaders to manage your team, allocate resources for agency profitability and identify opportunities to grow existing accounts
  • Manage quality implementation for the client portfolio within budget and timelines

Here’s the relevant experience you will have, that we will build on:

  • 7+ years’ experience in the consumer communications industry. PR agency experience is favorable
  • Experience and understanding of working with large multi-national consumer companies
  • Ability to lead teams and work streams simultaneously
  • Impeccable communication and presentation skills
