Let’s go!    Your mission Join Bitpanda’s Web3 team to lead the development of our DeFi Wallet; a smart, non-custodial wallet that empowers users to access the decentralized world seamlessly and securely. You’ll drive the technical vision, team growth, and delivery of a wallet designed for scale, usability, and trust; making Web3 accessible to everyone.   What you’ll do

Lead and grow a high-performing, cross-functional engineering team of 8 across web, mobile, backend, and blockchain domains. Define and deliver the wallet’s technical roadmap; from account abstraction and secure key management to cross-chain interoperability and dApp integrations. Oversee architecture, development, and operations of wallet infrastructure with a strong focus on security, reliability, and user experience. Collaborate closely with Product, Design, and Security to translate vision into scalable, compliant, and elegant technical solutions. Stay ahead of the curve on DeFi, smart contract standards (EIP-4337, ERC-suites), and new blockchain protocols to keep Bitpanda at the forefront of innovation.

Who you are

Experienced engineering leader with a background in running mobile applications at scale and have a strong interest and affinity with Web3 (Bonus points for blockchain and web hands on experience) Proven track record managing and mentoring diverse technical teams, with hands-on experience in fullstack and/or mobile engineering. Strong communicator able to align technical direction with product and business goals. Passionate about building in the DeFi space — excited by decentralisation, user empowerment, and solving real problems in crypto UX. Pragmatic and outcome-driven: you balance innovation with delivery and enjoy building products users love.
