UI Artist
Are you hyper-focused on the latest interface, graphic design, and typographic trends and >
Splinterlands, the leading blockchain-based trading card game, is actively seeking UI Artists that can make a layout and content sing!
As a UI Artist, you will be producing aesthetic mockups and compositions, collaboratively developing the overall interface art direction, and taking a mobile-first approach. You will be collaborating with the Creative Director, UX Designers, Product Managers, Artists, and Developers to produce a visual and interactive experience that immerses the user in a beautiful bubble of awesomeness from which they never want to leave.
You should have experience with general interface and graphic design and Game UI for both web and mobile applications. Responsiveness is key. You can develop moodboards and explore their expression in your own compositions. You know how to help find a projectโs unique visual โvoiceโ. You should be proficient with a wide range of design tools and be capable of customizing/exporting UI assets to meet the needed specifications. You should be eager to play games and call it โresearchโ.
Things Youโll Do:
- Apply your specialization in strong graphic design and aesthetic >
- Working directly with other UI Artists
- Report to the UI Lead
- Support the process of Iterative Improvement through feedback and collaboration
- Export UI Art assets for our Engineering Department to build your awesome UI creations!
Things You Need:
- At least 2 years professional graphic design and UI experience, ideally with experience in the triple-A games industry (but not required)
- Demonstrable UI design and art skills with a strong portfolio
- Expert with the entire Adobe Creative Suite, but in particular Photoshop, Illustrator, and XD
- Excellent visual design skills with sensitivity to user-system interaction
- At least a basic understanding of web and/or mobile development processes (HTML, CSS, etc)
- Solid grasp of Typography and related principles
- Solid grasp of Color Theory and related principles
- Understanding of Mobile-First Design Principles
