Backend Engineer - Golang (m/f/d). Remote.
About the role:
The backend team's mission is to maximise the power of data to build impactful insights into blockchain data. You will design, build and maintain Glassnode data infrastructure platforms.
We are searching for a driven and proactive Golang Backend Engineer. You would have the opportunity to contribute to the development of metrics APIs, ensuring that query performance is optimal, and build microservices and new features. All in the context of a distributed system with a high load of data from blockchain nodes and high scalability.
Join us remotely, you can be located anywhere around the CET time zone, as our work is 100% online. The position is full-time.
What you will do:
- Design and develop microservices using Go
- Collaborate on the development of our data ingestion layer
- Work on developing metrics
- Maintain and extend our API to meet the evolving needs of our system
- Perform QA, data QA, and deployments to ensure that our products meet the highest quality, reliability, and scalability standards
- Gain a deep understanding of our entire system and take full ownership of ensuring our products' quality, robustness, and performance
What you need:
- You have at least 5 years of working experience in software engineering and are proficient with Golang
- You are proficient with SQL and have good knowledge of relational databases
- You have 2-3 years of experience with Kubernetes, Helm, and cloud providers (preferably GCP) and experience building distributed systems and data pipelines
- You have an interest in the cryptocurrencies/blockchain industry
- You are a self-learner, motivated to pick up new technologies and take on complex problems
- You can communicate in English
