We are searching for an HR & Operations Manager to join our Singapore office, preferably with 3 to 4 years of relevant experience. .
The HR & Operations Manager will provide a full spectrum of human resources services to Wachsman’s employees, in addition to being responsible for a selection of operational support areas. As part of Wachsman’s global operations team, the HR & Operations Manager will work closely with the Managing Director and other senior leaders to design and implement a culture that supports and reinforces the organization’s business plans.
This position will require you to be comfortable wearing multiple hats and having a range of responsibilities, all within a single day. You bring a can-do, hands-on attitude to everything you do. You will implement effective systems and structures to drive staff engagement and productivity, along with leading projects that challenge the status quo and strengthen the culture.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Human Resources Operations
- Maintain and manage the HR system (Talenox & Xero, for matters relating to finance e.g. expenses)
- Involvement on all aspects of people management including performance management, learning and development, talent review / development, recruitment and benefits
- Develop, update, and maintain HR Policies and procedures as necessary, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and best practice; review and recommend updates to our policies
- Develop and disseminate internal memos as needed
- Manage EP applications and IR8/IR21 forms
- Maintain strong relations with supervisors to ensure healthy feedback and dialogue about implementation and effectiveness of talent programs
- Support recruitment by drafting job descriptions, identifying search criteria, and supporting the selection process
- Provide global updates, develop new joiner announcements
- Manage goal setting, ongoing performance feedback and coaching, and the year-end evaluation process
- Monitor turnover and develop strategies to maintain/enhance morale and retention
- Serve as first escalation point for staff, management, and vendors related to employee services, benefits, and counseling
- Hear and resolve employee concerns or grievances; counsel employees and supervisors on disciplinary procedures
- Administer resignation and termination processes, including conducting and analyzing exit interviews and coordinating with all departments to ensure proper termination for all exiting employees
- Stay abreast of external trends and research relevant to HR and talent management; identify and liaise with HR service provider partners
Office Management & Operations
- Responsible for management of the on-boarding process of all new employees
- Issue contracts of employment, increment/bonus letters and complete other administrative responsibilities as required
- Responsible for communicating offers, onboarding new hires, including new hire schedules, orientation, new hire paperwork, etc.
- Ad hoc projects as necessary
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
- At least 4 years of relevant work experience within HR
- Start-up experience preferable; previous experience in technology or finance industry a plus
- Strong knowledge of employment regulations
- Track record of collaborating with other departments and handling sensitive issues with diplomacy and discretion
- Experience supporting the full employee life-cycle
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong relationship building, management and networking skills
- Excellent work ethic and motivation to excel in a fast paced environment
- Must be fluent in Google Applications, Microsoft Office, and comfortable learning new software as needed
- SHRM Certification and/or an advanced degree are a plus
- Experience in training and development, talent management, succession planning, people manager support, and policy creation; track record of success in leading change is a plus
