Web3 PR & Communications Manager

Interested in helping us change the world of finance and payments forever? We are looking for a PR Manager who is passionate about helping teams grow their visibility and engagement. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of the blockchain industry and its influencers, strong writing skills, experience engaging with the media and developing a media strategy, creative approach to telling and pitching stories, and is eager to work on communications activities from all facets — from the strategy and content development to the coordination and logistics and across executive, corporate and internal channels. In this role, you will help develop compelling communications aligned to our messaging and narrative and support the execution of an effective communications and media relations strategy.

Impact: This role will have an important impact in bringing attention to our big news moments, but also helping establish proactive visibility with the media.

Scope: Press and communications most notably with blockchain and crypto outlets, but will also handle portfolio topics that lend itself to pitching and angles with broader FinTech and Tech press.

Growth: This role, which will already provide opportunity for a lot of strategic work, has the opportunity to expand into a greater press and comms strategy role over time, with possibility of management as we grow the team and our capacity.

In this role, you will:

• Help coordinate our communications and PR activities, including creating promotional and thought leadership social media content, supporting content development for corporate communications, drafting press releases, developing relationships with industry press outlets, and helping manage relationships with PR agencies and vendors
• Amplify visibility and awareness of SDF and the network among blockchain and crypto press and influencers
• Contribute to a media content strategy, supporting the development of op-eds, interviews, and an on-going efforts for media engagement
• Draft content and materials for events, such as briefings, press resources, and promotional content
• Help pitch SDF speakers for events and prepare event content, like presentation decks and graphics, coordinating closely with SDF’s design teams or outside vendors
• Work with SDF marketing team to track impact of events to inform strategies that amplify outreach to target audiences

You have:

• 4+ years of communications experience
• Must have understanding of, and experience with, the blockchain landscape and press outlets
• Strong understanding of media relations, including pitching to the press
• Solid research, writing and editing skills
• Good project management and organization skills
• Experience managing vendor relationships
• An understanding of virtual and in-person event needs
