Our client is re-inventing capital markets using blockchain technology. They’ve worked with the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), to become the first licensed custodian for digital assets in the world.
This company is re-imagining the issuance and life cycle management of capital market products like equities, debt, structured products, and funds using blockchain technology, to reduce friction and increasing value accrual for both issuers and investors.
This role requires you to have a ‘do-whatever-it-takes’ mindset and learn to operate just outside the limit of your comfort zone. If this excites you, but also makes you a bit nervous, then you might be the right fit.
Job Desciption:
Understand the Market
Research, understand market dynamics and trends, industry structure, and competitive landscape for Propine products and solutions
Drive innovation of new products or features with a lean canvas mindset
Derive product strategy, roadmap, and release plans in partnership with sales and executive leadership
Build and maintain the business case(s) for products, including market opportunity models, user personas, and top use cases
Drive revenue maximization strategies with marketing and sales with better product positioning and creating innovative features
Engage and solidify relationships with customers through interviews, small group sessions, and broader market research. Gather and understand customer pain points, needs, and align with feature enhancements
Document market and high-level customer requirements in Epics and User Stories
Participate in the business development and partnership building activities by way of interactions with partners and 3rd party services
Drive Engineering
Evaluate technology strategies to build new products in partnership with Engineering leads
Drive feasibility study and impact assessment with internal and external technology teams.
Estimate project schedule time to drive prioritization. Handle technical queries from partners, customers, and technical sales teams.
Create technical requirements for the product. Set the technology direction for product delivery in partnership with technology sales and engineering.
Create market leading product user experience and drive the User Experience competency
Set the quality bar for a product release. Validate product development against the product vision and product requirements
Track and report on key metrics of product success (including revenue and customer satisfaction)
Drive Release
Engage with Engineering, to ensure product meets customer requirements and expectations including sprint planning, retrospectives, and stand-ups
Own cross functional alignment with marketing, sales, support, and engineering
Be the Single Point of contact across multiple functions in the product organization
Assist the marketing team in go-to-market planning, execution, messaging, and positioning of products for optimal impact
Participate in specific sales opportunities (customer demos, roadmap alignment meetings, marketing events etc)
Participate in sales and support enablement initiatives (training, roadmap presentations, etc.)
Function in a product owner role, to ensure proper feature backlog prioritization, customer requirements and expectations during sprint planning, retrospectives, and stand-ups
We would love to speak with you if you have:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent
8+ years of overall experience in product engineering organizations
3+ years of product management/product strategy experience
3+ years as a software engineer or any equivalent technology role in IT
Working experience in planning and releasing software products to external customers in a SaaS environment
Strong understanding of managed services and cloud services
Ability to demonstrate both a passion for technology and a strong aptitude for business strategy
Ability to perform market research, market analysis, and competitive intelligence studies, building models in Excel, analysing large data sets, and reporting results.
Ability to articulate and document the customers' market problems clearly and separate distinct requirements from unstructured feedback and information.
Ability to build strong rapport and relationships with customers to gain in-depth understanding of customers' problems and needs.
Ability to interview customers to comprehensively understand their market problem. Ability to understand and capture customer needs accurately. Willingness to accept and assimilate new or conflicting information into the product requirements.
Ability to both create the presentations, communicate directly with customers, and speak in front of small and large audiences
