About NEAR

NEAR Protocol is a developer-first blockchain that emphasizes convenience and speed of development on the NEAR platform while minimizing the entrance barrier for developers coming from the blockchain ecosystem, as well as regular web and mobile development space.

The mission of NEAR Inc is to help launch decentralized projects, which includes among other things providing the platform, the tooling, and the core applications to integrate with.

As part of the DAO Applications team you will oversee technical programs for community success to get signals from the community to ensure that DAO Applications will be able to serve the needs of the community from a tooling and application standpoint.

We encourage people of all backgrounds to apply. NEAR is committed to creating an inclusive culture, and we celebrate diversity of all kinds.

About The Role:

In this position you’ll be working closely with engineers, community members, agencies, and multiple stakeholders. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Working with engineering teams and stakeholders to provide input from the community.
  • Engaging and driving the community for contributions to help applications and tooling improve.
  • Liaising with DAOs in the community to help improve the usability and quality of the applications and tools.
  • Put in place efficient and scalable processes to take the project to the next level
  • Provide the required hands-on software development and project management, cross-functional coordination, and inter/intra team communications to deliver outstanding program outcomes.
  • Work closely with software engineers, QA, product managers and other engineering teams to get high-quality products, tools, and features through the software project lifecycle (build, test and release on time).
  • Manage project schedules, identify possible issues and clearly communicate them to project stakeholders.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Exceptional intelligence and breadth of working with open source projects and communities and high EQ
  • 3+ years of establishing and managing programs or managing projects in a successful technology company
  • 2 years of experience in process improvement (i.e. identifying issues in processes, providing user-focused improvements, navigating / influencing cross-functional teams)
  • Stellar attention to detail and process orientation
  • Community and customer management experience, managing competing demands across program portfolios
  • Demonstrate passion for the blockchain / crypto space
  • You should be a great communicator and remain calm under pressure or when juggling multiple priorities;
  • You should be familiar with the full stack and front-end development and the software development lifecycle
  • While you should have a zeal for excellence, you should be very comfortable with balancing degrees of risk and business needs;
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field is a must
